Goodbye Middle-Earth!!!

Another year will pass. Every year I have been waiting for The Hobbit movies since 2 years ago. I can't believe it's already over.

I just watched the last Hobbit movie. It turns out the director, Peter Jackson, can turn a children's book into 3 movies that are rated M. As people watch The Hobbit, they usually compare it too Lord of The Rings. But how could they compare 2 stories that are completely different?

I don't really like comparing. But my parents told me to do a review. Since I have nothing to talk about, might as well give it a try.

Magic Disney Rain

Everyone loves something that is called Disneyland. Everyone has heard about the incredible movies Disney has made. Everyone that goes there would want to go see the princesses or Buzz Lightyear. Disney can do everything and anything (rolls eyes). Disneyland had so much magic, that they can even make it rain all through the day.

Since I will now explain why I am complaining. Just like I said everyone likes to go to Disneyland. I also said that everyone has a great time in Disneyland. Then where is the problem? Suddenly Disney can make magic rain. And just like I said it's magic rain. What kind of magic does it do? It does evil magic. Everyone knows I don't like going shopping, including shoe shopping. Yet what does the rain do? It totally ruined my shoes. It was totally soaked!! I shouldn't be complaining though. Nobody can get mad at Disney.

Bicycle license???

Since we're done talking about France can we talk about the other countries? We went to Brussels for one night, then we went to Germany for 3 hours, then we stayed in Amsterdam for 2 nights.

There is something so cool yet terrifying in Amsterdam, you can ride bikes anywhere. So cool isn't it. We rented some bikes so we could go around Amsterdam. We went all around town. It was like riding a motorbike. Why? Because the bikes have their own bikes and everything. There's a special light just for bikes. Mum says that even cars let bikes go through (Cool). Mum and I were just riding normal bikes (exactly the same, coulor, size and everything), but my dad was riding a bike with a baby carrier for Ayesha.

Then what's the terrifying part? Because it was just like riding a motorbike!!! Confused? Let me explain. Even though it was fun and cool and everything, it was still scary. Just imagine riding a bike with all the cars surrounding you. It would be okay if you were 16 or 17 or already have a license. Just imagine how scary it would have been for a little 12 year old girl. I've never done anything like this before (scary).

Because dad got us lost halfway, mum became the navigator. But even a skilled navigator (like my mum) could not tell the difference between all the rivers in the city.

Don't forget,
in Europe we drive in the right lane,

Kebabs and The World Cup

A lot of things happened during our little road-trip. One of the things that happened was the 2014 World Cup. Everyone had a favorite team. I liked Germany. I could almost see your disbelieving looks. Just so everyone knows, when I was in year 6, we had an international exhibition. I got Germany. It was 3 months before the World Cup.

The Language That Makes You Hungry

Let me continue my journey in Paris. Where were we? (Thinking) Ah! We were only up to the airport? Well, if the journey in Europe was a chocolate-cheese cake with cherry on top (hungry), we haven't even touched the frosting.

Exactly like expected, french people really don't like speaking English. I really started wondering, can we even communicate with them at all. Of course at the airport they would still speak English. But we could tell we were really in Paris (and not in my dream) when we went to the station. French was buzzing about everywhere. All around filled with French (they're really proud). That's when I notice a small grumbling sound. The sound seemed to give a reply to all the French that was spoken. Then I suddenly realized, it was my stomach.

Emirates was one of the best airlines in the world. So of course they would give us snacks. But even after all the snacks they had given in 6 hours it would not satisfy my stomach. I wasn't at all hungry at the airport. Then when I was on the train going who knows where (mum knows), my stomach does not seem to have a mute button.

We couldn't buy anything (so expensive!). But when we arrived at our destination (ask mum), we finally found some cheap (well, cheaper) food. How could one eat (even a huge burger like mine) and still not be hungry when all you've been hearing is French. That was why it was such a relief (exaggeration?) when we got to my dad's cousin's place. At least they don't speak 24/7.

That was only the first day. I'm still wondering how I didn't die (exaggerate) of starvation.

I'll give some tips on how to survive.

My Alien Friends

Hey, welcome back. Today is the latest update about everything (exaggerating). Let me just update my profile. It says  "I'm a human. I like reading, especially Harry Potter books. I hate fairies and pink stuff." To make it clear, I was 10 when I made that. Everyone knows 12 and 10 have a big (exaggeration) age difference. Am I right? No? Well let me inform everyone that I have changed.

1. I am sorry to disappoint you but no, I have not turned into an alien. I am still a very healthy human that is living on Earth (or am I?).

2. Anyone who is actually that smart to give up reading is the real alien. I would never give up reading (innocent human). My favorite book has changed though. I think it is the best book in the whole universe (aliens must read). Has anyone read 'The catcher in the Rye'? My mum recommended the book for me. It's a depression kind of book, but that's what I like most. I think it's rated 13+. Mum says it's a book for high school, but it was kind of easy to read (Self-praising).

3. I can not believe I actually said I hate fairies (astonished). Seriously everyone, if you say you hate them, 2 years later you would be watching the 6th season of 'Winx club' with your little sister. (Not Important) Since the 'Winx' are from outer space, do we call them aliens?

4. Did I really hate the color pink? What did pink ever do to me? It was just another innocent color that was created by red and white (sad). Now everyone has moved on to Blue (sad). Now that I think about it, I wanted to like blue because everybody started liking pink. Now I think back (flashback) and try to be friends with Pink, but now I think I'm trying to be different again. So confused!!!(Not needed!!!) Do you think aliens are Pink or Blue?

My new profile. I'm going to look back in 2 years and think about how young was and how I need to update my profile (again). It's possible.

Goodbye my human friends.
Unless some of you are really aliens!!!

Why Does it Have to be 2 Parts???

Anyone know about the new Hunger Game Movie??? I have a new favorite series. Ever since my mum saw all three books on sale in the bookstore, I have been a fan.

It all started when I had nothing to read (fashback).
My mum said I should try reading a new series 'The hunger games' (it was 2012). Since I was still a fan of Harry Potter and 39 Clues, I didn't want to read the new series (isn't everyone like that?). One night though when I really had nothing to read (reading was everything back then), I finally read 1 chapter. It got really interesting and I just couldn't put the book down (so dramatic!!!). When I finished the first book I read the sequel and and after that the last book. I started reading at 04:00 pm and somehow I finished the third book at 11:00 pm. Now I can't even imagine reading that fast (7 hours!!!).
Mum is trying to show-of. This picture was not my idea.

You wouldn't imagine how I reacted when I heard The Hunger Games had just finished their first movie. It was like a dream come true. I have always liked something late. For example, I was a total fan of Harry Potter when the last movie was already done. Now I can experience the joy of waiting for your favorite movie. Just as I was enjoying waiting a few months for Catching Fire, I now have to experience the torture of waiting 1 year just to get Mokingjay Part 2!!!

I just can't wait.

Saturdays

Here I am, on another boring Saturday. Sitting down and listening to music. Watching everything on youtube. That is totally my Saturday routine.

Last Saturday wasn't like that. Last week we went to 'Museum Angkut' (Transportation Museum). It's in a town called Batu that is close to Malang. I mostly wanted to go there because there would be German cars. Germany!!!
Teaching Kala how to drive
My mum bought the tickets (she tried to get a discount). When we went in it was full of many different transportation (of course!). My little cousin kept pointing at everything. Bikes, motorcycles, cars, planes, almost everything. We had to run around all over the place.
Kala kept pointing at these bikes

Besides just displays of cars and motorbikes, there are places that will imitate a country. For example, America, England, France and Germany (!!!). There even was an Eiffel tower.

Berlin wall???
The downside? It was raining (sigh). The good side? My shoes were not soaking wet (unlike when we went to Disneyland). Another good side? Now I like cappuccino. One more bad side, mum said the cappuccino I drank was an instant sachet. (sigh)

My peaceful Saturday,

Need to Update

Hey, long time no see. I should be updating my trip to Paris right? But right now I have something to tell everyone.

Since I am not in Australia anymore there aren't many holidays. We only get holidays between semesters. Just so everyone knows, my school starts holidays on the 13th December, but I don't know when it ends ( let's hope it's a long time).

Since it's the holidays, there will be lots and lots of free time. During that time I will continue to write more stories of my daily life (through my eyes of course). I will totally come back to my blog writing days.

I'll make sure this time,

Bonjour France!!!

It must be a dream. It must be a wonderful  dream. Like a once in a life time experience. It turns out it really was a dream.

Waking up after 4 hours on the plane my hair was a mess (like I care about my hair). I had no idea what time it was. I couldn't take anymore of this. Maybe some of you would be better at sitting still for 6 hours. I can barely hold it though. Maybe it's because of the air conditioning. I actually forgot the last time I breathed fresh air. Just because it's Emirates doesn't mean they have good movies. It just means they have the latest movies and recently the movies don't really make sense.

Is it really a dream? I am really asking now. Did the captain just ask us too put on our seat belts and prepare for landing? Thinking about it, I don't think it's a dream. Finally we are landing on completely unrecognizable soil. I mean it was still Earth and it looked the same. It probably smells the same and feels the same. There are probably no differences in the first place.

I think I just like wasting your time,

Finally my 6th country

Dubai!!! Finally, we arrived after 6 hours on the plane. I had no idea what time it was. The only thing I could think about was going to the toilet. Dubai airport is really crowded we almost couldn't find a seat. I couldn't sleep even though I wanted to. My parents fell asleep, I was scared that if I sleep we would miss the plane. Even though we set an alarm, I usually don't wake up if i hear an alarm anyway. I guess that is why I slept for 4 hours on the plane to france.

Even though it is old I watched the lego movie. After that Ayesha and I always sang "Everything is awesome"

Emirates

So we were riding a double decker plane (that's what I call it). It's not like we were seated at the second floor, but it was my first time riding something this. I forgot what our seat number was but It was definitely in the middle, you know how the seats go 3-4-3.

See 3-4-3, but this is cut off
The entertainment was the best if I didn't sleep most of the time I would have watched 3 movies. It's too bad though, I don't count as a child anymore (since I'm already 12), so they don't give me the child meal. Since it was during the world cup they gave Ayesha these slapbands or something that has one of the 32 countries written on it if you understand. We didn't get any of the good countries though (no offense).

The food was awesome, even though I didn't get the snacks like Ayesha. At least there were crackers and butter. Butter!!! I love butter, everything just taste better with butter. That is why we stuffed every snack inside Ayesha's Emirate backpack. I still have some of it now!

A normal meal for people over 11

The butter still taste yummy,

When time does not fly

When we went to Singapore my mum, sister and I went ahead of my dad because of something. Anyway the main point is that I had to wait 5 hours for my dad to land. I also had to wait again until it was 9 to board the plane.

It was a seriously long wait. Especially when we were still outside and not inside the transit zone. But we still had fun going back and forth the terminals. It was a bit better when we could go in the transit zone and get free Wi-Fi. It's really free!!! But only lasts for a few hours, oh well.

Time flew by so fast then, because my sister and I had so much fun playing "Papa's Pastaria". We could finally board Emirates!!!

The last time I was on Emirates I was 9. Now 3 years later I am riding it again!!! This time I can watch 3 movie per flight.

Actually going

The last step to do is actually going.
We had to wake up really early to catch our plane. We were going to Singapore first and
stay there for one night.

We stayed at Marrison hotel. All we did is sleep. There wasn't anything to do.

Packing?

Step 2: packing

It is essential that you know what to bring to Europe.

Things that are so obvious to bring I shouldn't be writing them:

Clothes (of course!)
Just remember not to bring too many. Even if your staying 2 weeks there is always a laundry somewhere.

Jackets (So obvious)
Even the summer is cold enough too make me shiver.

Tickets and all your transportation need

And extra shoes
Trust me you do not want to get soggy shoes when you go to disneyland, unless you want your parents to buy you new shoes.

Some things that may have slipped your mind:
Food!!!
Food is very expensive in Europe, so we brought our own.

Well I guess that was one thing.

Step-by step

Europe is a big (but not that big) continent. To travel around Europe without a plan would be crazy.

So here is a simple but long step-by-step instructions on how to travel around Europe like I did.

Step 1:Have enough money
My mom is an expert on finding cheap plane tickets. That does not mean there is a cheap flight to Europe. We were going on Emirates. Not because it was cheap (definitely not), but because we would have to stay inside that plane for 2x6 hours. The problem was the ticket is too expensive.
Plane tickets are not the only thing though. Don't forget about the hotels and the train tickets and food. It's all too much for me to think about. We spent so much money, my mother forgot to give pocket money to my sister.

I'll come back with something more to talk about.

Europe!!!

I just came back from Europe!!!

I finally went to another continent, and my collection of country just gets bigger. Before going to Europe I have only been in 5 countries (Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia), but after going to Europe I've been to 5 more countries.

One would think that the beginning of traveling is going to the airport, but actually it goes way back. There is a lot of steps. Luckily My mum did all of that, and all I needed to do is pack my bag and go. Unfortunately, I probably wont get pocket money for 3 months.

If you want to have a holiday exactly like me, (and I really mean exactly) you can follow these step-by-step instructions. But you must be an Indonesian that has lived in Australia for 5 years and has never been to Europe.
But of course, if you want to go to Europe but don't want to be like me have holiday exactly like mine, then you can follow the alternative instructions.

I'll post them tomorrow.

We Meet Again "Bored"

I really have nothing to talk about. Well part of it is because I spent all of my time watching something that I can never finish. I'm quite addicted to this show. It has more than 100 episodes and I'm still up to episode 80. I will Definitely write a post tomorrow, and since this post is so dull I'm going to make my post more colorful than usual.

Flying Free

Is the title confusing you? It's because I don't know what else to name this post. Oh right, I just wanted to let everyone know, I graduated!!! Isn't that so awesome. Sorry once again for not writing, I totally won't do that again.

Well I just graduated from elementary school a few days ago, I'm finally free!!! You know (to the people who knows) graduating doesn't feel like anything special. Maybe it's because it's still elementary, I wonder what it will feel like when I graduate high school?

Well about the title, it was a song we sang at the graduation ceremony as a choir. The students in SAIMS are very talented.

I haven't told you about my time in year six (6) right, well there was a lot of tings going on in year six. I could finally talk to my friends and could communicate with Bahasa Indonesia. In SAIMS my friends really like to joke around. Sometimes they tease people, and sometimes they tease me. Thanks to them I totally improved my kicking skills.

I'll be back tomorrow. For real this time.

New School

So sorry I didn't have enough time to post. It turns out practicing for graduation takes a lot of time. I also got caught up in a really good book that I couldn't put down, but anyway I am here to write another post.

My last post before the last post was "Going to Darwin" right? Well like I said in my last post (confused?) now I am nearly at the end of elementary. Right now I am at the end of year 6, half a year behind my classmates in Australia.

I came to Indonesia before I finished my second term of year 5. School here starts in July so I had to be in year 5 for another year! So in total I have been in year 5 for 1 and a half years.  You wouldn't believe it, but back then I was very shy (emphasize "very"). I wasn't the only newcomer though. There was 2 other girls. One of them was from Korea. If you heard she lived in Korea for a few years you would think she knew how to speak Korean If not English right? Well it turns out she didn't, because she did homeschooling. Well there goes my chance of speaking English.

I actually used to be here when I was in year 1. Since it was in year 1 I didn't really remember anything, but it turns out my friends still remember a tiny bit about me. When I was in year 1 i was very shy (emphasize "very") so it was amazing if anybody could make me talk. My friends kept telling me that back then I could only say "bebek" (duck) and I have no idea why.

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures. I don't take photos lately.
Until next time,
A.A

I'm Back

Here we meet again, after a long time. When was the last time I wrote on my blog? it's probably been more than two years! It feels so good to have my fingers on the keyboard again.

The last few years I've been really busy. If nobody knows yet, right now I am living in the city Surabaya which is in the country Indonesia. I've been living here since the year 2012.

I had a hard time fitting in my new school. I was finally starting to fit in when a big obstacle came. Much bigger than the ones that come every two years in Australia.  It's the school test. In Indonesian it's called "Ujian Sekolah". If we don't pass this test we can't go to middle school. So that's why my friends and I spent the past year studying furiously.

Right now we finished taking our test and are preparing for our graduation. So I'll have a lot of time to update my blog. Starting from tomorrow I'll be sharing my stories.

Just wait a little longer.
